Panther Ausf. A	Tamiya + Tank Workshop, 1/48 scale

Here is my new 1/48 scale Tamiya Panther G with the Tank Workshop Panther Ausf.A conversion.

The model is finished as a 5.SS Pz. Rgt. Wiking machine based on a photo and a profile in Dennis Oliver's book, "Viking Summer".

The crew is from Gaso.Line, and the paper foliage (mounted on 0.2mm wire branches) is from Kamizukuri.

A few problems that I only noticed when I was too far along to fix them - Panther As seem to have six armour plates for the side skirts, not 5 per the G, and I used the fairing over the mantlet., which also seems to be a G feature.
Ah well...

This model will feature in a detailed construction article in Issue 91 of Model Military International magazine. This issue also includes Dennis Oliver's "Think Tank" reference piece on the "Panther Pounce" at Kovel in March / April 1944.
