Description
Here is my 20th model completion of 2020 - Meng Model's new 1/35 scale K-4386 Typhoon -VDV. This uber-SUV is guaranteed to get the best parking spot for busy parents at school drop-off time!

Meng has accurately captured the tough looking lines of this new Russian 4x4 mine-protected wheeled armoured vehicle.

With a modest parts count of 196 parts in light grey plastic, 20 parts in clear plastic, four black vinyl tyres, one photo-etched fret with a single part, four small springs, eight polythene caps and a small decal sheet with markings for two vehicles, the model is a fairly fast build and the greatest amount of time was spent painting the interior.

My model was built straight from the box.
Meng is offering an after market set of resin wheels, which I would have used if I had more time to wait for them to be delivered, but the vinyl tyres actually came up okay.
If I was building the model again, I would add harness straps to the seats. These are pretty prominent in the real vehicle. I'd leave the rear cabin door open too.

I'll be writing this one up in detail for Issue 177 of Model Military International magazine.
Thanks to Meng Model for the sample
