FirstLook
Having used Art of War figures in the past I knew what to expect
from this new set of figures. I have experienced varying quality of
figure, in the variety of scales I build in, and I have come to
respect several companies as being the “Premier League” so to speak
when it comes to figures, and I would assert that Paul Quaek and the
Art of War are certainly setting the pace in 48th. (Minially also
produce some of the nicest 1:16th scale figures I have ever seen as
well)
I am by no means one of the masters when it comes to painting
figures, so I; like many other modellers I am sure, rely on good
sculpts and poses to bring a figure to life. All three of the
figures contained in this set (Russian Tank Crew; Winter WWII) are
naturally posed and will look very much at home on either the Tamiya
or the Hobby Boss KV’s or T-34’s.

There is a
high level of intricate detail realised throughout all of the
figures, with all of the uniform detail being represented as well
each figure possessing a convincing facial expression.
In summary, I would rate this as a top rate set of figures, as they
will add a considerable amount of character to a model or diorama.
Superbly sculpted and cast to perfection, it is quite difficult to
find any fault in the figures, and thus they come very highly
recommended indeed.
