The long-running campaign in Malaya saw the use of a special version of the Ferret, the Mk 2/2 with a raised section under the turret. Ferrets used as range safety vehicles at the large Suffield training area were colourfully marked so they could be easily seen. Markings for one Mk 1/2 and four Mk 2/2 vehicles in various basic colour schemes and different coloured sections are included. Price £10.20 or $9.50

Several serial number batches were applied to Ferrets in British service, serials in the BA, BB, CA, CB, DA, DB, DD, EA, EB, EC, ED and FD series in four different styles of numbers and letters can be created using this sheet’s black background strips and white characters. Scorpion Miniature Models SMM3564D Ferret Mk 2/2 Price £8.50
This was a Mk.2 Ferret with the original small turret fitted with an armoured collar between the hull and turret for better observation. It was a local modification undertaken in the Far East. As well as British use in Malaya, some were used by the Royal Hong Kong Defence Force. SMM's conversion includes the collar section and small two-door turret including .30 Browning machine gun and replacement square driver's side hatches. The radio antenna mounts shown here are for the No.19 set which available separately as SMM3566B. The large insulator for the long whip aerial is included in the kit, with notes on how to make the aerial. The set also includes new sidelights and a jack block for a car in Hong Kong.
