T-Rex Studio has released a 3D printed resin upgrade set for the lovely new 1:35 scale Tamiya Comet tank.

All the parts are printed in pink-coloured and clear resin.

Parts are mounted on many fine strips, which taper even thinner at the actual attachment points. These should be easy to remove but plan on a bit of extra time for cleaning up any waste.

The only exception to the above is the spare track links and pins, which are free from any attachment points and are ready to use straight from the box.

The parts included in the upgrade set are:

• Commander’s cupola with separate hatches that may be posed open, closed or anywhere in between.

• Gunner’s hatch side latches (x2).

• Besa machine gun and ball mount for the hull.

• One-piece muzzle brake.

• Vision block covers (x6).

• Vision blocks printed in clear resin (x16).

• Clear lenses (x2).

• Tow cable guides (x3).

• Turret antenna mounts (x2).

• Pyrene fire extinguishers with mounts and clamps (x4).

• Commander’s blade vane sight (“birdcage”).

• Spotlights (x2).

• Battery box with cabling.

• Smoke dischargers with cabling (x2).

• Tow hook, shackle and leaf springs.

• Spare track links plus track pins (x8).

• Engine deck handles (x10).

Printing quality is perfect on my parts, with no sign of striations or other imperfections.

Detail is superb – crisp and intricate.
