Samurai Warrior Operations ManualHaynes PublishingReviewed by Andrew Judson Summary
FirstRead Haynes, originally known for their auto manuals, have now really stepped out in the world with manuals on tanks, soldiers and now this one, Samurai Warriors. So if you have an old broken Samurai tucked away somewhere, you may be able to fix it! This is a fantastic and quite original book, which comes in the form of an A4 sized glossy hard cover with attractive cover art.
There are 156 pages in total, with seven chapters covering a lot of information. The chapters are as follows: History of the Samurai A broad range of material is covered within the pages, all well researched, with many colour and black and white photos and drawings included.
In relation to the visual content, I have to say it is very impressive, from traditional Japanese artwork to brilliant historical photos and also museum pieces. The reading content is very interesting, and gives one a very good insight to the whole Samurai story. It describes their daily life, and the legendary fighting and battles that occurred during that period.
If history and the subject of Samurai is your thing, then I would highly recommend this book to you, or if it is a subject you need information on, this would be a great one to look at. Either way, it’s a top read! Thanks to Haynes UK for the sample www.haynes.com
