This comprehensive Aber photo etch set is designed to fit the DML kit. The first impression from this set is the sheer thickness of the package. That's because there are 3 brass and one nickel frets and 6 pages of instructions! Also included are an acetate sheet for driver's panel and radio as well as a brass rod for the superstructure tarp support.
The set features all the basic parts needed to superdetail the 250/8 including some fantastic upper armour shields from nickel and all 75mm related internal stowage bins. Interior detail is very comprehensive and is in efect very similar to the 250/1 set including etched details for the seat backs which are spectacular and a huge improvement over the kit parts. Vision block holder detail is excellent and consists of approximately 15 parts each. Exterior details include the standard Aber tool clamps, Notek base, width indicator bases and some suspension/drivetrain details.
For those of you who want to take the Sdkfz 250/8 further, Aber also manufacturers 3 more detail sets for this vehicle: Sdkfz 250 fenders, Sdkfz 250 stowage bins and Sdkfz 250 superstructure upper armour.
