Eduard 35420 Brumbar Zimmerit
Andrew Dextras
This set of etched brass zimmerit is designed to fit Tamiya's old Sdkfz 166 Brumbar. Because all of the panels that require the anti-magnetic paste are flat, this set makes more sense than some other vehicles which have curved sections (ie: ball MG mount on panther front hull). The zimmerit appears relatively flat at first glance, but when you run your finger over it, it is deeper than it looks. It’s probably not scale depth, but the Brumbar has a lot more surface detail compared to a slab sided AFV like Panthers and Tiger IIs, so it may be a good choice for those who don’t have the courage to use putty to create zimmerit. I’ll be testing this set out on an old Brumbar I have sitting around and will report back as to what the finished product looks like with a coat of paint. |
