Eduard 35425 Panther Ausf A Zimmerit

Designed to fit Tamiya's old Panther A kit, this set features one extra-large sheet and one medium sheet of photo etched brass features the familiar tile pattern. The pattern seems a bit flat and uniform at first, but I will only render judgement on that aspect after seeing under a coat of paint. Parts are included to cover pretty well the complete horizontal surfaces of the tank. The only point of contention would be hull MG mount which require you to use a metal ball to form the zimmerit. I'll have to try this myself to see how it works, but perhaps Eduard may think of including a resin replacement part for this sort of assembly? Otherwise, this might be a good solution for those not brave enough to make their own zimmerit. |
