LionMarc Model Designs 1/35 Skoda UV vz. 34 37mm Barrel for Panzerkampfwagen 35 (t)

LionMarc Model Designs has moved quickly to offer a barrel replacement for the CMK Panzerkampfwagen 35 (t) that is now offered by Tamiya. It is a simple drop in replacement barrel with a resin recoil cylinder.

So, replace the kit item with this resin and brass barrel set to easily improve the quality and looks. As usual, the resin casting is first class without any flash, bubbles, voids, or warping. The machined brass barrel comes already in place within the resin recoil cylinder but I removed it for the photograph.

Accuracy is good with the dimensions and proportions being very good. The pattern is not an exact match to the photograph above and the vent holes are perpendicular to the barrel instead of angled towards the rear to assist in braking the recoil. Still it is a very nice set and definitely worth buying.

I normally do not do comparisons but here is a photo of the LMD barrel with resin recoil cylinder above the Schatton Modelbau barrel.
