|
Here we have the late-war Waffen-SS formations, many very short-lived, as well as the foreign volunteer units. Their special insignia are described and also shown in the photographs and the excellent plates, so anyone wanting to depict a last-ditch resistance will find plenty to help get the figures right. Some of these Divisions were raised considerably earlier, after the seizure of their home countries, and manned by Quislings who fought mostly on the Eastern Front.
Their uniforms and insignia are equally well covered so if you want something a bit different to go with your tankers you’ll get plenty of ideas here. Short histories are included for all the units in the book, including their combats and eventual fates.
