Hetzer & 75mm Stu.Kan.Auf Pz.Kpfw.38(t) Photo-Etched DetailsVoyager Model, 1/35 scale
FirstLook Voyager has recently released two additional photo-etched detail sets for 1/35 scale German armour kits. The first is VPE35176 for Tamiya's new mid-production Hetzer. The largest parts in this set are the skirt armour sections. Each of the main armour plates is scale thickness, and hung individually by two photo-etched folded mounts.

All of these parts are supplied on three photo-etched sheets plus the separate nuts and bolts on their own tiny frets. Brass rod and wire are also provided. The set is rounded out with four tow cable ends on resin, plus a length of twisted copper wire for the cables themsleves. Very nice. Next up is VPE35185 for Dragon's recent 1/35 scale Stu.Kan.Auf Pz.Kpfw.38(t). This is a comprehensive set that completely replaces the armoured superstructure with photo-etched metal parts. Ammunition bins and track guards also get the photo-etched treatment. This should lend a much more authentic scale appearance to all of these prominent parts Click the thumbnails below to view larger images: Additional details include exhaust grilles, rear mudguards, radio rack, tool mounts and many other tiny parts. A resin tow shackle and cable ends are also supplied, plus a length of copper wire for the tow cable itself. There are also the most incredible tiny bras (not photo-etched) scale-sized bolts supplied in a separate bag. You will need patience and experience working with photo-etched parts for both of these sets, but with care and time, you will have a stunning replica on the table. Recommended to experienced modellers. Thanks to Voyager Model for the samples
