ScaleX’s latest releases are an interesting mix of late Soviet, Cold War American and Second World War German subjects. These include weighted wheel sets for the 9K33 OSA (SA-8) and 9K79 Tochka (SS-21). Both vehicles are available from Trumpeter and have seen, and continue to see, service around the globe.

ScaleX also offers a double set of weighted and unweighted wheels for the US M114 155 mm artillery piece. Presented as a two-in-one option for this long-serving US artillery piece, the set allows the modeller to update two guns and, as such, offers excellent value for money.

Then we have four sets for Germany’s famous Second World War runabouts, comprising two desert sets for the Kübelwagen and wide and narrow sets of wheels for the Schwimmwagen. The Schwimmwagen wheels are ideal replacements for the recent Tamiya East Front Schwimmwagen with its wide tyres, although they will also be suitable for a range of other kits.

Let’s hope ScaleX brings out a set of wide Schwimmwagen wheels in 1/16 scale next!
