Indochine Part 8 Coventry Armoured Car and AmphibiansStar Decals, 1/35 scaleReviewed by Peter Brown
Summary
FirstLook The Coventry was intended as the replacement for the British Daimler armoured cars. Looking similar it was larger, most ended up being given to the French and it was one of the vehicles they took to the Extreme Orient. Decals are provided for cars of the 5e Regiment de Curassiers including number plates, unit shields and names for several vehicles.
M29C Weasels were also used in the East. Number plates and names are given for "Crabes" of 1er Regiment de Chasseurs a Cheval. Last on this set is a DUKW from 2e Compagnie du Groupe de Transport 515 during Operation Chinchilla in 1951. All are plain green, presumably Vert Armee. Full details including prices and availability may be found at www.star-decals.net Many thanks to Johan Lexell for the sample
