FirstRead

Three new sets for this era have just come out.

35-C1293 is Part 11 with markings for various CVR(T) vehicles with IFOR. Covered are Scimitars of the Light Dragoons in 1996, Household Cavalry in 1997, Queens Royal Hussars in 1997 and Queen’s Dragoon Guards also 1997, a Spartan APC from an unidentified unit and a Sultan command vehicle from the Household Cavalry in 1997.

All these were in green/black schemes with white IFOR lettering in different styles. As well as tactical signs, regimental badges, pennants and yellow/red warning markings are provided.

35-C1294 Part 12 is more wide-ranging.

Included are Challenger 2 MBTs from 1RTR and two different ones from King’s Royal Hussars, a Scimitar from either Queen’s Dragoon Guards or 9th/12th Lancers and an FV432 of an unidentified unit from 1997 serving with SFOR.

These were in green/black schemes with like white SFOR lettering in different styles.

Tactical signs, regimental badges and yellow/red warning markings are provided.

35-C1295 Part 13 covers Challenger 2’s mostly with KFOR.

Markings cover three from Royal Scots Dragoon Guards with one of them with additional armour and another with a dozer blade and additional armour, and a tank from an unidentified unit all with KFOR.

Finally there is a tank with King’s Royal Hussars from 1997 which had its IFOR marking painted out.

All were in green/black schemes with like white KFOR lettering in different styles,  tactical signs, regimental badges and yellow/red warning markings are included.

Decals are as usual clearly printed, detailed instructions show the schemes and marking placements.

Star Decals are available from several suppliers, check with them or see their website star-decals.net for stockists and prices. They regularly release new sets and reprint older ones so it is worth checking on them.

Many thanks to Johan Lexell for the sample
