You may be wondering why I review a book about infantry tactics for a tank modelling website? Elementary, my dear Watson. Anyone who wants to show infantry figures with the tank models needs to know how the infantrymen might be behaving! Here you get an analysis of training for battle, squad and platoon organisation and weapons, and tactics for attack and defence. British, German and US armies are covered here, in considerable detail for such a short book. A second volume is promised, and from this one’s title we can assume that the second will deal with tactics at higher levels. Now come on Osprey, we need the same treatment for Russian, Italian and Japanese infantry and for everyone’s tank units!
Recommended!
