Kubelwagen x 2Brengun, 1/144 scaleReviewed by Graham Carter Summary
FirstLook A pair of wee grey resin1:144 scale Kubelwagens are enclosed in a clear plastic box attached to the usual Brengun backing card and instruction sheet.
The parts consist of intricately cast resin body with a block of tiny but perfectly formed wheels with an amazing amount of detail in their miniscule forms. A 25mmx15mm photo-etched fret contains the window frames with mirrors attached (!), steering wheels, shovels, and number plates.
There is also a tiny clear sheet for you to cut out the windscreens and a decal sheet for a couple of examples of number plates with tiny readable (just) letters and numbers.
All parts will be easy to remove from their blocks as the webs are fine - just take care with the tiny mudflats when removing the bodies. Remember to take care when sawing resin due to its hazardous dust. No colour details are provided but they appeared to have been in either Field Grey or Desert Sand with or without other colour blobs. The wheels are the standard type and sand tyres will have to be sourced elsewhere.
I can see these little cuties finding their way in many 1:144 Army and Air Force scenes. Highly Recommended Thanks to Brengun for the sample www.brengun.cz
