Mk.IV Male Update SetHauler, 1/72 ScaleReviewed by Graham Carter Summary
This PE set is designed for the Emhar kit and the 100x50mm fret provides parts to embellish and replace plastic parts in the kit. It comes in the familiar card-backed re-sealable plastic sleeve. Parts include several doors and hatches with lovely scale rivet detail, a box surrounding the exhaust system, a lot of small gun-ports/hatches/inspection holes and reinforcements for the wooden fascine usually carried. As well, and a bit of a folding and gluing challenge, is the long control run cover from the driver’s compartment to the rear drive wheel. Unclear in the otherwise good instructions, is whether these are mounted on each side of the tank but, having provided two handed sets, I presume they are. The fold is down the middle of a piece 4mm wide and 60mm long - I know that my folding tool would not be capable of coping with that! The A5 instruction sheet shows the folding operations and locations of parts. This set will certainly enhance what is a fairly basic kit so I recommend it to the 1/72 WWI tank modeller. Thanks to Brengun / Hauler for the sample.
